AVI JACOB

In 2015, the band Counting Crows named Avi Jacob the best folk emerging superstar. The next year Avi opened for Dr John and was featured on A&R Report as an artist to watch in 2016. One writer said this about him: “Avi Jacob has a captivating vocal delivery that brings a special kind of warmth. He has a knack for taking over a room with his music while having folks watch him in silence with the result often being a resounding applause.” Through his music, he shares his life with you through stories that are as emotionally raw as they are real. His music sweeps you up and shakes you down to your core.

TANIA JOY

Canadian folk-roots musician Tania Joy has been using this time in isolation to hone her songwriting, finally following up her 2013 EP, I’ll Be Around, with new music due just released, produced by Hill Kourkoutis (Digging Roots, Leela Gilday, Madison Violet), a multi-talented artist who played with Serena Ryder and was in The Weeknd’s original backing band.

MICHEL NERAY (That’s me!)

Michel is 1/5th of Jacques Russell Trio. JRT is always a bunch of fun, with eclectic mix of blues, jump blues, trucker blues, jazz and pop, and some quirky originals thrown in for good measure. As a solo artist, he writes singer-songwriter songs full of angst, emotional conflict, evocative imagery, and all kinds of good things.

WHY HOUSE CONCERTS?

Between the house concerts and the ones I have been hosting with Jacques Russell Trio, we found that Zoom concerts have great audio quality + great interactivity. It’s almost as if we really are together in the same room!

That’s better than live streams not only for you in the audience, it’s better for the musicians because we get to see you too.

There’s a virtual tip jar with a suggested donation of $20 per person. Feel free to use it now! https://jacquesrusselltrio.com/ It’s fun!

My work in Category Design and Differentiation for over 30 years has taught me that at the bottom of every meaningful value proposition is a story. As the founder of momondays, I have listened to and watched countless stories being performed -- it has given me a fundamental grasp of what works, and what doesn’t. As a professional speaker, trainer and consultant, I've worked with thousands of leaders and sales teams in more than eight countries around the world, from Montreal to Moscow. My passion is helping people and organizations lead better, sell more, and change the world through Category Design and Storytelling.
